To end the journey...

Hello all :D We have come to the end of our project of Hyperthyroidism

We would like to thank our fellow readers who spent their time reading our research and our writings of Hyperthyroidism.

To end off... We would like to write the History of the Thyroid gland

Sir William Horsley was the one who discovered the function of the thyroid glands in mammals.

He said that it was till 1883 that the function of the thyroid gland was unknown and thus he spend most of his time experimenting the functions of the thyroid. During his experiment, he found out that when he excite the thyroid gland, myxedema ( swelling of the skin ) gradually developed. This led him to multiple experiments regarding the thyroid gland, eventually summing up the functions and diseases related to the thyroid gland and one of it is Hyperthyroidism !!
